Professional Background

Welly Tantono is group general counsel for Secretlab, the maker of the award-winning gaming chair of choice for professional esports teams and events. Welly began his legal career at top New York and California law firms as an intellectual property litigator where he acted for clients in bet-the-company lawsuits and other complex multi-jurisdictional litigation. He turns to corporate advisory to companies in the technology and healthcare sectors and has deep experience with capital markets, seed and public listing funding, as well as cross-border M&A, IP licensing, and joint venture projects in developed and emerging markets. He was one of the founders of one of Singapore's first healthcare cooperatives. Welly graduated with honors from Harvard University and Duke University. He is President of the Association of Corporate Advisors, Singapore Branch and currently serves as a member of the Legal Subcommittee for Fencing Singapore. He has also been appointed as a Lecturer by the National University of Singapore's School of Computing.
